A call to action to all bloggers who are members of IABC, the International Association of Business Communicators.
With so much debate and discussion going on about blogging and organizations in a wide range of business blogs, I’ve been surprised to note that hardly anyone who is an IABC member is joining in any of these discussions. As IABC is the voice of the communication profession (my definition and I’m an IABC member) with over 13,000 members worldwide, that voice ought to be represented by members in the discussions. There’s plenty of scope for some thought leadership here.
If you’re an IABC member, you can go to Memberspeak, the member-only discussion forum, and join the conversation there about corporate blogging, or add your own topic.
Go to the IABC headquarters website and log in to Memberspeak in the members’ area. Add your voice!
(Good IABC news point: in the next issue of Communication World magazine, due out soon, it’s planned to include a feature on "Blogs and their impact on organizations.")
Time for IABC to get blogging
Neville’s right – time to join the debate, folks.
