Cool RSS web stickies

Playing with an interesting little web app – Webnote. Here’s what it is:

Webnote is a tool for taking notes on your computer. It allows you to quickly write something down during a meeting, class, or any other time that you have a web browser available. You start by creating a workspace and creating notes in the workspace. You can save your workspace at any time and return to them from the same computer or any other computer. You can also share your notes with others by providing the workspace name (or url) to a friend.

In other words, it’s web-based Post-It Notes. Stickies on the web. What makes it especially interesting is that it’s sharable. And, you can distribute your workspace notes via an RSS webfeed. Neat, developed by Tony Chang. Heard about it from a post on Robin Good’s blog.

I’ve started a workspace that’s got some random notes at the moment. Take a look and see what you think. Leave a note if you wish!

I’ve been using something similar on my desktop – Stickies for Windows. Reminds me to do things like call my barber and not to forget that conference call at 4pm. Mundane type of stuff that we all do. It beats having real post-its stuck all over the place, which I do have. Multi-coloured ones! Not sharable or RSS-enabled, just post-its for the Windows desktop. Cool as well.
