Deutsche Welle, organizer of the Best of The Blogs contest – the BOBs – has announced the winners.
Overall Best Weblog (Jury vote) was awarded to The Dog Newspaper from China. “This Weblog is about dogs,” the description on the BOBs site says. “Not just the way dogs suffer, but also the strange and curious aspects of life as a dog like dog prostitution, or the life of some dogs in Great Britain, where man’s best friend enjoys some of the same luxuries as its master.”
The User Award for Best Weblog went to Portuguese blog Por um punhado de pixels (For a Handful of Pixels). “[This blog] delivers commentaries on film, television, comics, the Internet and culture. This weblog is one of many run by author Nemo Nox and shows some fantastic photos, fractal graphics, not to mention a collection of excellent texts by various authors.”
