PC World: Japan Airlines (JAL) will start offering Boeing’s in-flight Internet service on flights between Tokyo and New York this week, the first time the service will be available for transpacific travel, the airline says. It looks like the big moves to inflight wi-fi are very much being led by airlines in Asia at the moment. Boeing’s Conexion service is now offered by ANA and Singapore Airlines as well as JAL, with Korean Airlines offering it from this month, according to Boeing.
Waiting in the wings is China Airlines, as is El Al. European airlines that already offer it are Lufthansa and Scandinavian Airlines.
