I find Skype a very useful communication tool, as I’ve posted about before (here and here, for example). Free calls to other Skype users, great connectivity and, for calling normal phones, very low cost.
But I’ve often thought, wouldn’t it be great if I could connect a normal phone handset, wired or wireless, to the PC rather than use either a microphone/headset combo or a mike and computer speakers setup?
Well, my wondering is over – news of a cool USB thingie that you 1) plug your normal phone into, 2) plug it into your PC’s USB port, and 3) use Skype with your phone. Less than $50 plus shipping.
