Looks like TypePad has some problems today as my previous post has ended up being published 3 times. And I can’t delete the two duplicates.
Hopefully TypePad will have a solution asap.
Sorry for any inconvenience!
Update 20:00 CET: The problem now seems to be fixed – I was able to delete the 2 duplicate posts. When doing that, I noticed that the remaining post, and this one, now appear in the Recent Posts list. None of these post today look as though they have gone out in the RSS feed, though.
Further update – what the problem was: Response from TypePad support:
Thanks for the report. Sorry for the problem here, it looks like this is related to a limitation of the underlying database software in certain end-of-year situations when using weekly archives. We have resolved the error now so you should be set. Please let us know if you have any problems still.
I’m always impressed with TypePad support – any issues quickly resolved.
For what it’s worth, I had the same problem — and my posts wouldn’t post, just got backed up in the queue.
TypePad resolved it just as quickly. A very well-run company in my book.
I would guess that other TypePad users experienced the same problem too, Rodger.
Interesting to note the reason – a date issue, basically, when certain conditions were true.
Sort of like Millennium-related things, just 4 years later!
