This is rather neat – Frappr, an online tool that lets you map out the location where you live, work, take your holiday or anything else. You can then share your unique URL with friends and find out where the rest of them live and work in relation to everyone else.
I was pleasantly pleased to see that this little app wasn’t wholly US centric – I’ve made one for this blog which shows a map of Europe as the start map.
If you’d like to add yourself to the NevOn map, please do:
Unlike location-aware social connection tools like Plazes, you don’t have to provide any detailed personal information in order to generate your map if you don’t want to. If you’re in the US, you can provide either a zip code or just a city. For me in Amsterdam, it’s just the city. That’s just right.
Very nice.

Nev, fun one. Have you played with Plazes yet? http://beta.plazes.com/home
It’s great because you can geo-tag just about everyone and everyplace. Means access to wifi, others in area, tracking friends. We’ve been using it lately and it seems to deliver a lot on many levels. We used it during Barcamp after Open Source conference last week.
Hi Colby. Yes, I’ve tried Plazes. Very good indeed but not for me. Too much personal information disclosure involved. But that’s probably just me as I know loads of people who happily use Plazes.
